If you've got a rescue, working-line or hyper active high energy dog in your home, then you'll likely have figured out by now that modern [western] society asks a lot of them.
Often, to suppress their natural behaviours, and obey... calmly without fault. This is precisely why, Mother Nature's Dog Trainer speciailises in Enrichment Training Games, tailored to your individual dog.
My goal, is to help you understand your dog from the roots up.
What it means to be a dog
What it means to be their breed
And how those natural, instinctive behaviours can become an asset rather than a problem

Through play, purpose-driven training, and breed specific activities, you'll learn how to channel your dog's natural behaviours into a fulfilling working relationship. Built on trust, understanding and respect for the dog in front of you.
Because here's the hard truth, if you're not fulfilling their needs, they'll find ways to meet their own.
Lack of fulfillment is usually shown through frustration, destructive behaviour, blowing off recalls, high arousal, stress, fear and and anxiety even.
And they persist! Regardless of how much obedience
training you've done.

Luckily, it's not necessarily about having to do more, but the right things for that individual dog.
We want to utilise the behaviours they were bred for, and that they naturally exhibit.
Such as, giving the cockerpoo something to search for and hold, instead of picking up animal poo, sticks, slippers and socks 24/7
Or giving the collie something to stalk and move, instead of lunging at other dogs or moving cars, cyclists and running children
Because when we stop fighting against their nature and start working with it, training becomes easier, more effective, enjoyable, and far more rewarding for both you and your dog - and that's the secret to happy living with a high energy dog!
If you're at your wits' end with your dogs energy, or simply want to learn more meaningful ways to train and enjoy your time together, i'd love to hear from you
